Aven Financial Closes $304M Oversubscribed HELOC Securities Deal
Aven Financial completed its first ABS offering at $304.2 million, drawing top AAA ratings from both S&P Global and Morningstar DBRS.
Aven Financial has closed its debut asset-backed securities offering, a $304.2 million transaction backed by home equity lines of credit that attracted more investor demand than available supply, the Campbell, California-based company announced Oct. 30, 2026.
The offering, designated AVNHT, earned the highest possible ratings from two major credit assessment firms. S&P Global Ratings assigned the senior notes an AAA grade, while Morningstar DBRS awarded an equivalent AAA (sf) rating, signaling strong institutional confidence in the underlying collateral and deal structure.

The oversubscribed nature of the transaction indicates that investor appetite exceeded the supply of notes available, a dynamic that typically allows issuers to tighten pricing terms in their favor. For Aven, a fintech lender operating in the home equity credit space, the outcome marks a significant milestone as it taps capital markets for the first time through a structured finance vehicle.
HELOC-backed ABS transactions allow lenders to package revolving home equity credit lines into tradeable securities, freeing up balance sheet capacity to extend additional credit to homeowners. The double-AAA endorsement from two independent rating agencies is likely to broaden the eligible investor base for any future Aven offerings, including pension funds and insurance companies that require top-tier rated instruments.
