Privacy Policy
Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Fundcavento ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit or interact with our website and any related services. We respect your privacy and are committed to handling your personal information responsibly, in line with applicable data-protection laws including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and other regional privacy frameworks where they apply to our operations.
Information We Collect
When you visit any page of Fundcavento our servers and our hosting providers automatically log standard request data — your IP address, the user-agent string sent by your browser, the page or article you requested, the referring URL, and a timestamp. This information is used to operate the site, troubleshoot problems, measure aggregate traffic, and detect abusive behavior such as scraping or brute-force attacks.
When you fill in a form on Fundcavento — newsletter signup, contact form, advertise inquiry, unsubscribe page, or any other interactive surface — we collect the information you choose to enter. That typically includes your email address, your message text, and any optional fields you complete. We do not require you to register an account to read the site.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: operate, maintain, and improve the site; deliver newsletter editions and transactional emails you have requested; respond to questions, tips, and corrections; comply with our legal obligations; measure aggregate readership; and detect, prevent, or address technical problems, fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Use. We do not sell your personal information.
Under the GDPR (and analogous frameworks), our legal bases for processing your personal data are: your consent (for newsletter signups and optional analytics where consent is required); the necessity of processing for performing a contract with you (delivering subscribed content); our legitimate interests in operating and securing the website and understanding aggregate readership; and compliance with our legal obligations. You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter or the Contact form.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Cookies are small text files that your browser stores when you visit a website. Fundcavento uses both essential cookies (which the site needs to function) and, with your consent in jurisdictions where consent is required, optional cookies for analytics and advertising. You may decline or delete cookies at any time, although doing so may disable some features. We honor browser-level signals such as Global Privacy Control.
Third-Party Service Providers
We rely on a small set of third-party service providers to operate Fundcavento: a cloud-hosting provider for our servers, a content-delivery network and edge security provider, an email-delivery provider for our newsletter, and an analytics provider for aggregate visitor metrics. Each of these vendors processes data on our behalf under written contractual terms that restrict use of the data to the services we contract for.
Advertising
Where Fundcavento displays advertising — typically through Google AdSense or a similar reputable network — those advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to deliver ads based on previous visits to our site or other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at https://www.google.com/settings/ads and via the industry portals at https://optout.aboutads.info (United States) and https://www.youronlinechoices.com (European Union).
Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy or to comply with our legal obligations. Newsletter subscribers' email addresses are kept until they unsubscribe (at which point the record is moved to a suppression list and is no longer used for marketing). Contact-form submissions are retained for up to 24 months for follow-up and recordkeeping. Server access logs are retained for up to 90 days.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you reside, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information: the right to know what we've collected; the right to access a copy; the right to correct inaccurate data; the right to delete data we hold about you; the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell data, but you can confirm this); the right to limit our use of sensitive personal information; the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights; and the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority.
Children's Privacy
Fundcavento is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete the information.
International Data Transfers
Operating a web service inherently involves moving data across borders. We may process and store information about you on servers located outside your country of residence, including the United States. When transfers from the EEA, UK, or other restricted jurisdictions occur, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms.
Security
Fundcavento takes reasonable measures to safeguard the personal information in our care. Site traffic is encrypted with HTTPS; access to operational systems is restricted to authorized personnel under formal access controls; and we maintain incident-response procedures to act quickly in the event of a security event. While no online system is invulnerable, we treat the security of reader data as a core responsibility.
Changes to This Policy and How to Reach Us

For significant changes we will provide additional notice (such as a banner on the site or a note in the newsletter). Privacy-related questions or requests should be sent through the Contact form linked in the footer.
